One hunderd years from now it will not matter what kind of house you lived in, how much money you had, nor what your clothes were like. But the world may be a little better because you made a difference in the life of a child.

We need to get Emma to Ecuador!!

Hi everyone,

Several potential donators have asked Jen for a tax ID number. Tax ID numbers are only available to 501C status foundations which take a minimum of 18 months to establish. Obiviously we do not want Emma to wait 18 months for treatment. After speaking with the lawyer and accountant that manages The Patrick French Foundation, it has been decided that any donor needing a tax ID number for IRS verification of a donation can donate to Emma through our foundation using our tax ID number.

The mission statement of The Patrick French Foundation is "The Patrick French Foundation is a non-profit organization for children suffering from a neurological collapse from vaccination or illeness within the first 5 years of life." Emma is a Patrick French Foundation favorite and always will be. We want her to go to Ecuador now not in 18 months.

So with that said any donator in need of an IRS tax donation receipt please send donations to:

The Patrick French Foundation
21 Blake Ave
Cranford, NJ 07016
and in the memo spot of the check write
"for Emma Love".

The tax ID number is 22-3730861. Any documentation needed will be provided.

Thank you everyone for caring, hoping, and praying for Emma.
Your love is felt and most appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your dedication!!
Love, Jacki French

Well, it's official!

Now that it is posted on Facebook, there is no turning back now. The passport paperwork is completed, of course we will have to sedate Emma to get her to have her picture taken and to the passport office, but we will get it done!

I can't believe the amount of support and well wishes we have already received from so many people. I have such a warm feeling knowing that we are not walking this journey alone! i have always known that there would be many trials in our life with Emma, but I can say with certainty that there are many blessings as well.

As I was getting Emma dressed for school this morning, I was talking to her as I always do. I never get an answer back, but sometimes those are the best conversations! Anyway, I was explaining to her that we are gearing up for the most important journey of her life.... (At this time I was bent over putting on her shoes) that we were going to Ecuador for a treatment that would hopefully change all of our lives for the better. Naturally, I began to get ferclemped (sp?), I have a feeling that will be happening to me over these next few months more than usual! Well, as I started to bring my head up from putting on her shoes, I was met with the sweetest kiss I have ever had the pleasure to receive! It was as if she was saying thank you and that she really knew what I was saying! There is no greater gift that I could ever receive than that kiss!

I know that I will be thanking many people along this journey, but I wanted to start out by thanking the person who has really made all of this possible and that is Jackie French! If it was not for her, we would not be taking this step. Her strength, courage and friendship is really what helped Roger and I to come to this decision. In April, when Jackie took her son Patrick for his treatment, she was really treading through uncharted waters. She did not have the benefit of knowing what to expect on a first hand basis. Because of her courage and determination to stop at nothing to help her son, our angel Emma will be better because of it. Jackie, from the bottom of our hearts, we love you! We are blessed to have you in our lives!

Quote from a fantastic mom

"You would think that after 6 autism conferences I could get through speaking about Emma without crying, maybe next time."

Hi everybody! I have created this blog for one of the most wonderful moms I have ever met. Jen Love is incredible. She juggles her business, kids, volunteer work at the CDC, and her efforts for "Autism Speaks" with ease. Her quote above is from her 6th journey to the national Autisim Speaks conference she attended because of her incredible dedication as the walk chair for the annual walk at Nomahegan Park.

This year we would like to help Emma go to Ecuador for a stem cell treatment. Many children with autism are returning from Ecuador with new verbal skills and some have been potty trained. These are two of the Loves greatest wishes for Emma.

So this year the annual celebration on October 17th after the Autism Speaks walk, will be a fund raiser to send Emma to Ecuador. We will need lots of help from everyone brainstorming how we can accomplish our goal of $20,000. $18,000 is needed for treatment and approximately $2000 is needed for travel. Patrick and I will be accompanying Emma and her family and the doctors are treating Patrick as a return patient for free!

An account will be opened for Emma under her own name so if you would like to contribute immediately you can make checks payable to "Emma Love" and mail them to Jen. Otherwise we hope you can join us on the 17th of October to celebrate Emma and her upcoming journey.
